Being Happy Doesn't Mean Everything's Perfect

It’s so easy in our fast paced lives to get all wrapped up in everything that we want to happen.  If you're striving for perfection we applaud you.  You’re doing more than most.  However, if you’re expecting perfection you'll more likely find disappointment than happiness, as few things in life ever fall perfectly into place.  That’s just how it is.  You can’t Photoshop your life.  Hey, but don't sweat it!

You see, imperfection is part of life.  It's part of humanity.  It’s all around us, and it’s within us.  Yes, it's easy to get overly concerned with perfection, because we all want to do our best, but none of us are perfect.  So, trying to force perfection or to expect it is just not realistic.

However, when you let go, when you stop judging, when you stop focusing on the imperfections you can begin to let yourself become more content, and yes, happier.  The truth is happiness begins when you let go.  When you allow life to happen and unfold on its own, instead of trying to control it –Because you can’t, and that’s okay.

Being happy doesn't mean everything is Perfect, and it never did.  It means you've decided to look beyond the Imperfections.  So relax, and be happy in the knowledge that nothing’s perfect, and perhaps within that lays the beauty of everything!
